Introduction
The Université de Montréal Department of Psychology, founded in 1942, is the oldest French-language Department of Psychology in North America. Today it continues to play a leading role in preparing psychology scholars and professional psychologists.
At present the Department offers a variety of undergraduate programs and the largest selection of graduate options. Many of these programs are accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association. Students can study in fields of basic research, applied research and professional development.
British firm QS ranks the Université de Montréal among the top 100 universities on the planet in psychology, while the US News puts UdeM 72nd in the world in neuroscience and behavior and 108th in psychiatry/psychology.
